Investing in Digital Twins Entrepreneurs and InnovatorsBentley’s Acceleration Fund is focused on building an open ecosystem to advance infrastructure digital twins built on iTwin technology.
Learn how Bentley Acceleration Fund can help you grow your business
Our Technology Investment Focus
Bentley Systems’ Acceleration Fund was founded in 2020 to invest in startup and early stage companies developing products and services based on iTwin technology to advance infrastructure digital twins. The Bentley Systems Acceleration Fund is chartered to accelerate the creation and curation of digital twins, and to foster technologies and innovations, by nurturing new ventures, making minority investments, and acquiring and expanding digital integrators.
Bentley’s leadership team is committed to advancing
infrastructure digital twins built on iTwin technology.
“This is the biggest opportunity to improve the overall value contribution of technology to infrastructure since the personal computer. Even with today’s digital twin applications, the opportunities to improve the overall value to the ecosystem are far greater than that of traditional CAD or BIM.”
“We think open-source environments, which the people who work on artificial intelligence or machine learning are comfortable with, are the best solution. Having an open-source tool kit is our way of saying that our priority is to open up the data and then they can take it from there.”
“Investing in AEC startups is another way to contribute to the infrastructure ecosystem by ensuring the continued advancement of digital twins technology.”
Bentley’s iTwin technology unlocks the value of data, enabling the visualization of the asset to better understand and optimize asset performance.
Bentley is committed to accelerating opportunities to support diversity
Our industry is quickly catching on to the significant gains that can be realized by digital twins with more than half of all large industrial companies expected to use digital twins in some form by 2021. Digital twins are rapidly advancing from vision to reality.
Giving Life to the Digital Twin
An in depth interview by Connected Technology Solutions (CTS) with Greg Bentley, CEO of Bentley Systems, Inc., about the evolution of the digital twin and its implications for managing assets in today’s manufacturing world.
Advancing BIM: Digital Twins
Over the next 12 to 18 months, digital twins will take center stage, advancing rapidly beyond building information modeling (BIM), enabling asset-centric organizations to converge their engineering technologies, operational technologies, and information technologies into a portal or augmented/immersive experiences.
